Templator/CAD Operator

The Templator/CAD Operator will be responsible for field measuring, templating, and producing CAD drawings for fabrication. The ideal candidate would have previous work experience either templating or installing natural stone. Other relevant work experience would be a cabinet installer, carpenter, contractor, framer, or other tradesmen.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Work with and continually communicate with our customers regarding job layout, material selection, desired profiles, corner details, lead times, and maintenance]
  • Obtain customer’s final approval on material selection, layout, all project-related details.
  • Create digital templates for fabrication through field measurements
  • Obtain and document sink, faucet, and appliance information from customers.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and convert fractions into decimals.
  • Complete detailed fully dimensioned drawings for shop fabrication and installation.
  • Create shop work orders according to set procedures.
  • Communicate with shop, office, installation, and sales personnel throughout projects.
  • Service installations that require remediation.
  • Communicate with current customers to promote company initiatives and sale

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Experience with CAD drawing software and Microsoft Office application
  • Ability to:
    • Learn and operate a laser templator.
    • Read and comprehend instructions.
    • Communicate effectively.
    • Visualize details in three-dimensional spaces and translate to a two-dimensional drawing.
    • Solve problems in various situations to stay within budget, keeping the project on schedule, and making the customer happy.
  • The position will require daily physical activity. The maximum amount of weight required to be lifted will be less than 50 pounds.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel to and from job sites. Bella will reimburse mileage at the current federal rate.
